Rebound Patients Not Affected By Recent Recall Of Injectable Steroids

Dear patient,

We know that many of our patients are concerned by recent media reports of fungal and bacterial infections after having injections of steroid medications. At this time, health officials believe that the current issue is limited to contaminated medication that originated from the Main Street Family Pharmacy in Tennessee.

The physicians at Rebound Orthopedics & Neurosurgery believe our patients’ safety to be paramount. We have never used, and do not currently use, any medication of any kind originating from the Main Street Family Pharmacy. Therefore, Rebound patients who have received steroid injections from a Rebound physician are not affected by this current recall.

For further details, reliable information about the outbreak is available on the Centers for Disease Control website at www.cdc.gov, or by searching for “CDC main street family pharmacy”.

If you have specific questions about medical care you personally received at Rebound, please do not hesitate to call us at (360) 254-6161 or 1 (800) REBOUND to have your concerns addressed by a Rebound provider.

Sincerely,

Stephen R. Southerland, MD, FRCS(C)
President, Rebound Orthopedics & Neurosurgery
