Fred Bagares, D.O. joins Rebound on August 14, 2012
Vancouver, WA – Fred Bagares, D.O. will join Rebound as a physiatrist on August 14, 2012. Dr. Bagares is a board certified specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilition. His specialties include interventional spine care, sports medicine, musculoskeletal/repetitive use injuries, electrodiagnosis (electromyography/nerve conduction study), and musculoskeletal ultrasound.
Dr. Bagares comes to Rebound after completing a fellowship in Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine with Spine and Sports Physiatrists in Chicago, IL. Dr. Bagares received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilition at Northwestern University/Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.
Dr. Bagares will join Rebound’s three other physiatrists to help round out the department. Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialists, also called physiatrists, are nerve, muscle, and bone experts who treat injuries or illnesses non-operatively. Their job is to treat conditions resulting from disease or injury, from sore shoulders to spinal cord injuries. The focus is on the development of a comprehensive program for putting the pieces of a person’s life back together after injury or disease – without surgery.
