Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Physical medicine and rehabilitation (also called physiatry) emphasizes the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disorders related to the nerves, muscles, and bones. Rebound's board certified physiatrists provide non-operative management of musculoskeletal, sports, and spine injuries. We use a comprehensive approach that combines rehabilitation, clear communication, and interventional procedures. Our goal is to restore your function and quality of life, and we believe that a thorough understanding of your diagnosis and treatment plan will help you experience an easier recovery.

When needed, our physiatrists perform procedures under ultrasound or fluoroscopic guidance and electrodiagnostic studies (EMG and NCV) to evaluate for injury or disease of muscle, nerve roots, and peripheral nerves. They also offer regenerative/proliferative techniques including the use of platelet rich plasma, tenotomy, or prolotherapy when clinically appropriate to address tendon, ligament, and joint pain.
