Dr. David Hayes is an orthopedic surgeon called out of retirement by Rebound, to start a clinic where he will specialize in the treatment of arthritis. Dr. Hayes served on the Orthopedic Academy Committee that developed the guidelines for the treatment of knee arthritis. His goal is to understand the nature of your condition and evaluate it thoroughly. He would like you to discuss your goals and concerns, the options, and make a decision for your care.

Dr. Hayes grew up on a wheat farm in Idaho and played a little college football at Idaho State University. He served his residency at William Beaumont Army Hospital during the Vietnam War.  He then became department chief at the U.S. Army hospital in Augsburg, Germany. Dr. Hayes has performed reconstructive surgery on Romanian orphans, as well as serving as the Team Physician for athletes at Portland State.

The highlight of his life has been raising a family and practicing orthopedics in Vancouver since 1975. Dr. Hayes enjoys furniture making, beekeeping, saxophone, and working at Habitat for Humanity.
