I had a total knee replacement just over a year ago. Dr. Southerland and his PA, Joel Phillips, were wonderful. Shortly after surgery I had 120 degrees of flexion. Despite going to PT and being dedicated in rehab at home, my flexion suddenly became only 70. I was quickly scheduled for manipulation surgery with Dr. Southerland and have maintained a decent range of motion. At three months I was SUPing, playing tennis and even windsurfed again. It is amazing to me that I can be so active and not experience pain! At 40 I had ACL reconstruction and four subsequent surgeries. For 28 years I put up with my knee always aching after playing tennis and windsurfing. What a joy it is to enjoy being active and not have to be in pain!!!
I have had Dr. Modha for my tumors for 5 years and would not have anyone else treat me. He is very straight forward and very honest with me. I have had 5 surgeries and he did all of them. He has saved my life with a couple of surgeries, and in my opinion he is the best, and my family thinks highly of him.

I tore my ACL on my right knee and had my ACL replaced in January of 2013. Dr. Ellis performed the surgery on my knee and did a wonderful job. After about 10 months of recovery I returned to play ultimate Frisbee. Thank you again!

In 2001 I had a spinal fusion for a congenital pars defect which caused decades of chronic pain and excruciating leg pain. Dr. Hoang Le did the surgury, and as a result I have essentially no pain, and am back, after years of disability, to doing whatever I want. Dr. Le, you appreciate the days weeks of pain I have not had in almost 4 years. I am DEEPLY grateful, as is my wife, Patty. Thank you Rebound Team and SW Washington Hospital.
