I had a serious fracture which was repaired poorly at a rural hospital, so I underwent surgery with Dr. Southerland to remove rods from my right femur and hip in preparation for possible hip replacement surgery. After three months post-surgery, I am walking better than in two years, and much of the pain has been reduced. Dr. Southerland did a wonderful job. I am scheduling a follow-up appointment to see if an artificial hip will be needed. Dr. Southerland has great skill and bedside manner. I couldn’t be more pleased.
