R. Wendell Pierce, M.D.
Dr. R. Wendell Pierce relocated from the Boston area in 2008, where he had been staff orthopedic surgeon at the Harvard University health system in addition to his private practice in general orthopedics in Winchester, north of Boston. In his 35 years of active practice, Dr. Pierce has covered the entire spectrum of orthopedic specialties and surgeries. He has cared for all age groups from pediatric to geriatric and is known in his community for problem-solving, good communication with patients and families, and complying with evidence-based medicine. Dr. Pierce is now primarily involved in the office practice of orthopedics, seeing all aspects of orthopedics and all age groups. He has a working relationship with his fellow orthopedic and neurosurgeons.
Dr. Pierce has relocated to the Portland/Vancouver area to be closer to his two daughters and twin grandchildren. He has many interests, including vocal and instrumental music, gardening, cooking, and many outdoor sports, including windsurfing, kayaking, and hiking.
Today, Dr. Pierce is primarily involved in the office practice of orthopedics, caring for patients of all ages with general and sports-related conditions related to the ankle, back, elbow, foot, hand, hip, knee, neck, shoulder, spine, and wrist. Dr. Pierce sees patients with any nonsurgical orthopedic need at Rebound Orthopedics & Neurosurgery in Vancouver at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, Legacy Salmon Creek, and Camas Medical Plaza as well as in Portland at Rose Quarter.
