About
Dr. Tyler Petersen is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in traumatic injuries to the extremities and pelvis. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Samaritan Health Services in Corvallis, Oregon, followed by a fellowship in orthopedic trauma care at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UMPC) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He then stayed as faculty at UPMC before moving back to the Pacific Northwest and joining Rebound Orthopedics & Neurosurgery.
Dr. Petersen has expertise in caring for complex trauma patients, often with multiple orthopedic injuries, and provides comprehensive care alongside the trauma surgeons and services at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. He cares for patients both admitted to the hospital with traumatic orthopedic injuries and evaluates patients in clinic requiring ongoing care following a previous injury. Dr. Petersen manages all types of fractures in the extremities and pelvis, including those involving joint surfaces as well as fractures that did not heal or have healed in a malaligned position.
