For over 3 years I was having trouble with my balance. It got really bad and I was falling down 6 to 7 times a day and having trouble getting up after a fall. My daughter is in the medical field and she was living with me. She told me I was getting worse and she wanted to take me down to Legicey Hospitel in Vancounver. I had been seeing a neuroliges for 3 years but she could not solve the problem. She had me do 2 MRI with contrast and still no solution.
When we went to Vancouver hospitel ER they were able to diagnose me with NPH (normal pressure hydroencephalitis). The next day they took me in to get a spinal tap and took 80cc of fluid out of my spine. WORSH!! I was instently fine. No headakes, ballance better it was great. Dr. Chang talked to me said they wanted to watch me for a while
I am glad she did as in a few days the problemes returned. Dr.Chang said she reconised the problem and they could put in a drain with a valve to solve it.
They took me down and they did Brain surgery on me and I am still great. I feel 20 years younger. My memory is better my ED is gone. Dr Channg told me that inflamation in the brain can affect many other systems in the body and the damage to my brain would take 6 months or more to heal.
I am back going to races again, going out dancing. And generaly enjoying life. I cant stop praising Dr. Chang and Rebound. I have told many people my adventure and some of them have gone to see Dr Chang all with good results.
