About
Dr. Daniel Munger is a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon specializing in cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery. He provides advanced surgical care for patients with complex conditions affecting the brain and its blood vessels, including brain aneurysms, stroke, brain tumors, and other neurovascular disorders. His expertise includes minimally invasive and endovascular (catheter-based) neurosurgical techniques, allowing many patients to benefit from less invasive treatment options when appropriate. He is also well trained in the full spectrum of neurosurgical conditions, including tumors of the brain and spinal cord, degenerative spine pathologies, and trauma.
Dr. Munger earned his undergraduate degree from Brown University. He went on to receive his medical degree from University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School, followed by a neurosurgery residency at Oregon Health & Science University. He completed advanced fellowship training in cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital of Harvard Medical School, where he gained specialized expertise in the treatment of complex neurovascular conditions. In addition to his clinical training, Dr. Munger has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented his research at professional meetings. He is also proud to serve as an Army neurosurgeon in the United States Army Reserve Medical Corps.
Dr. Munger understands that a neurosurgical diagnosis can be overwhelming for patients and their families. He is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and believes in recommending the least invasive treatment option that aligns with each patient's goals. By taking the time to educate patients and involve them in the decision-making process, he strives to help them return as quickly and safely as possible to the activities that matter most to them.
Outside of neurosurgery, Dr. Munger enjoys running, cycling, and spending time with his family.
Dr. Munger is available to see patients at Rebound Orthopedics & Neurosurgery in Vancouver at Rebound Vancouver and Rebound Salmon Creek.
